TLS Fall Semester Information - PLEASE READ

The start of the Fall semester at Tulane Law School is fast approaching.  We hope to see you for the start of classes on Monday, August 17th.


  1. You should  regularly check your schedule for the fall.  Just go to and click on My Schedule.  You can also adjust your schedule through GIBSON through the end of the drop/add period on Friday, August 28th.   You can find a listing of fall courses, course descriptions and prerequisite requirements in the Registration Materials on Tulane Law School's Intranet site:

There have been a number of changes to the schedule, so please do check the registration materials for the updated information.   We try very hard to meet all registration requests but we will not be able to add students over the designated course limits.  Many students make changes to their schedules during this time so there may be openings which occur in a few courses that are full right now.   Please monitor your Tulane email for any announcement about wait listed courses.

  1.        All students should be aware of the requirements for their degree program and should keep these requirements in mind as you are planning and finalizing your schedulesThe degree requirements are listed in the Student Handbook under Eligibility for Degrees (Section V.D).  There is a degree progress worksheet available under the Academic Services page of the TLS Intranet.   Please refer to the checklist to monitor your degree progress. 


JD students may also run a degree audit via Gibson online.  If you have any questions after running the degree audit, please contact Academic Services Office at and we will be able to review this information with you.  Note that the degree audit is an advising tool only and does not indicate official completion of a degree program.


  1.        Please also remember that you must CONFIRM your registration.  The deadline to confirm enrollment is August 25th via GIBSON.  Log on to GIBSON: and click on the link for confirmation.   Update your address and contact information when prompted then submit .  If you don't confirm, your schedule will be dropped and the seats in your classes will be open to an existing waitlist or anyone who registers through GIBSON.  If, for any reason, you are not returning to school this fall, please let us know now.  We need to drop your courses and reverse any tuition charges, remove your mail folder, and take care of a few other housekeeping chores.  If this applies to you, please make sure to contact the Academic Services Office
