2020 WINTER INTERSESSION SELECTION PROCESS

  • 28 October 2019

Intersession sign-up will take place via the TLS Intranet starting October 28th. The link for Intersession selection (see below) is located on the TLS Intranet and will be available starting at 8:00 am on October 28, 2019.

The registration is for ONE of the three Intersession courses occurring at the law school from January 6th-10th, 2020.

Each course is worth one credit.  Each intensive course will have mandatory attendance and will take place between 9 and 5 on all five days, with additional preparation required in the evenings.  It will be graded Pass/C/Fail, dropping a grade for each missed lecture or class meeting.  The credits are classroom credits (as opposed to non-classroom) and the credit may be used towards satisfaction of the Experiential Learning Requirement.  Please review this information under Section V.D.3 of the Student Handbook.

The registration will take place via the link for Intersession selection which will be located on the TLS Intranet. This selection link will open at 8:00 a.m. on October 28, 2019 and close at 5:00 p.m. on November 8, 2019.  Academic Services will notify students of their intersession enrollment status by November 18th.  The official drop date for the course will be Friday, December 6, 2019.  Students MUST notify Academic Services if they intend to drop an intersession course. The drop will not be processed unless a drop form is submitted to Academic Services (room 204) by December 6th.

Academic Services will register the students for the courses based upon the order in which students signed up via the Intranet.  There will be a manual wait list, maintained in Academic Services, based upon the order in which students signed up for the class on the Intranet with priority given to students who have not participated in the past and particularly to third year students who have not previously participated and who may not have an opportunity to do so again.  Students will be notified by Academic Services if an opening occurs and they are able to be added to the Intersession course.

When you make your selection on the Intranet, please rank order your choice of courses between “CIVIL,” “CRIMINAL,” and “TRANSACTIONAL.”  Once a student is enrolled the Law School considers this an OFFICIAL registration. The intersession&
